The heartwarming comments continued from Harry during Thursday night’s episode, where he claimed his ex-footballer star son Jamie Redknapp said he had “won the lottery” with his beautiful other half.
“When you get older… I do love her too much, and if anything happened it would just kill me.
“We just get on so well. I only want to be with her. Saturday night we go out, have something to eat. I just can’t wait to see her.
“Jamie always says to me: ‘You won the lottery, Dad.’”
In a sensational revelation during the second episode, Harry – who claims the couple have never argued in their relationship – revealed he accidentally ran her over in the past, telling co-star Nick Knowles: “I used to think I was a good driver but I had a nightmare and ran over my wife one day.
“She got out the car and I thought she’d crossed the road and I pulled forward and she fell into the road and a bus stopped literally yards away and the most amazing part of the story probably, my grand-daughter is sitting on top of the bus and sees all of this. Unreal.”
Sandra is the twin sister of footballer Frank Lampard’s late mum Patricia, who sadly died in 2008 of pneumonia.
In the most recent episode of the jungle show, Harry revealed that his wife’s nickname for him is ”Mr Pastry”, after the famous TV character.
The pair met as 17 year old’s at a dance after he plucked up the courage to approach her, and went on to marry four years later.
The football manger and Sandra have two sons, former professional footballer turned TV pundit, Jamie Redknapp and his brother, Mark Redknapp.
Upon entering the jungle, Harry admitted that he will struggle with being away from his longtime wife, saying: “That’s the biggest problem I have got. We do everything together. I have been with Sandra for 54 years and I hate being away from her.”
The devoted husband has previously admitted that he and Sandra have never had an argument in all the time they have been together.
He said: “We’ve never had a row. Ever. After all these years, we’ve never had a minute’s problem between us. And that’s true.
“That’s not bulls**t. If I get the hump, she’ll just say, ‘look at you Harry, look at you, just calm down’ and I do.”
