With this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! drawing nearer to the finale this Sunday (December 9), viewers are concerned about one of the most beloved trials in the show’s history.
Campmates Anne Hegerty and John Barrowman have both been ruled out of a few Bushtucker Trials on “medical grounds” over past few weeks, which has fans concerned that we may not get to see the gang slipping and sliding around if they were to carry on avoiding the public vote.
Known as the ‘Celebrity Cyclone’, the aqua-slide challenge which takes part towards the end of the series every year is really quite a spectacle.
It involves each of the remaining campmates working together to collect stars all while being pummelled by water canons and running up a huge hill.
It’s incredibly slippy and often sees the celebs flung across the surface, struggling to stand upright. But could it all be in jeopardy this year?
John would definitely struggle to take part in anything too physical after slipping on his way into camp and ending up in the hospital. He then returned to camp on Monday (December 3) on crutches having sprained his ankle.
The question of whether or not ‘Celebrity Cyclone’ could still go ahead is running wild on Twitter, with one user posting: “#ImACelebrity you realise if Anne, John and Harry are any part of the final five/four, the Celebrity Cyclone physically can’t go ahead.”
Another wrote: “So what happens if John and Anne make the final and can’t do the Celebrity Cyclone for their respective medical reasons?! Actually really concerned about this #ImACeleb.”
if celebrity cyclone doesn’t happen this year I’ll be fuming!
it’s the best trial they do!#imaceleb

@imacelebrity What happens if Anne & John get through to the final? Will they be able to take part for medical reasons? You can’t not have Celebrity Cyclone in the final!!!!!!! #ImACeleb #celebritycyclone

As much as I like Ann in #imaceleb if she’s in the final 4 I’ve a feeling she might not participate in the celebrity cyclone which is always the highlight of every series
